Rasakora or shredded coconut kernels in sugar syrup is one of the chappan bhog receipe of Lord Jagannth.

Whole wheat 2-3 tbsp

Powdered khand 1 tsp

For sugar syrup

Powdered khand 1 cup

Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Rasakora
Prepare a thick sugar syrup here adding a little more than 1 cup of water to 1 cup of powdered khand.
In a bowl add shredded coconut, whole wheat and powdered khand .
Mix well. Add water little by little to make a soft dough.
The dough is ready.
Make round balls like this.
Deep fry till golden brown on a low- medium heat.
Drop it and soak in the sugar syrup. Rasakora is ready.

Notes:

Add whole wheat just enough to bind and make round balls.

Sugar syrup has to be just thick and no need for string consistency just like for gulab jamoon.

Hope you like this simple sweet from coconut. Prepare and offer bhog to god.

Thank you
