Chena Rasa is one of the chappan bhog receipe of Lord Jagannath.

Ingredients:

Cottage cheese/ Chena

Salt

Whole wheat 1 tsp

Jaggery

Hing/ asafoetida

For grinding paste:

Shredded coconut

Cloves

Cinnamon

Black cardamom

Black pepper corns

Turmeric

Ginger

Chena Rasa
Grind all ingredients with shredded coconut with little water.
Grinded paste.
Mix together Chena, whole wheat, salt.
Knead for a minute, then make round balls like this.
Fry Chena balls in hot ghee till golden brown on a low heat.
Fried balls is ready.
Add water to grinded paste and bring it to boil.
Add jaggery to it and let it boil for 7-8 min.
Now add fried Chena balls and add asafoetida. Let it cook for 5 more min. Chena Rasa is ready for bhog.

Notes:

Cook Chena balls on a low heat. Adjust the spices as per your preference.
