Gundicha temple is Lord jagannath’s aunt abode or Mausi badi .It is situated on the other end of Grand road ..On end is the Jagannath temple .
The famous rath yatra or car festival takes place on this extra wide grand road or Bada danda .Lord jagannath alongwith his brother Balbhadra and sister subhadra come out of the temple and move towards Gundicha temple on their respective chariots ..They rest in Gundicha temple for 9 days and then return back.
Gundicha temple is small and isolated temple ..poorly maintained
It comes alive during these 10 days only.

Aunt of Lord Krishna

This is another must visit temple in puri as it’s the temple of goddess who is the aunt of God krishna and even the god krishna along with brother balrama and sister subhathra visits her every year and the visit is the famous rath yatra of puri.
